What I’m hooked on these days

When I stumbled upon Dynasty’s thumbnail for the first time on Netflix, it gave me a very ‘white rich snooty people’ kind of vibe and when I watched it, I was absolutely right.

I began watching this show because of Elizabeth Gillies. I have been in love with her since I watched Victorious. She has an amazing voice and is very talented.

Anyway, the show is based on two families called ‘The Carringtons’ , ‘The Colbys’ and their feud. Now the focus of the show is obviously the Carrington family who has this business empire owned by Blake Carrington (the father) who has two children, Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) and Steven Carrington (James Mackay). The show revolves around this family who is filthy rich and has a lot of trust issues. Nobody wants to be honest with each other and that’s pretty much how it goes.

The one thought that constantly bothers me throughout this show is that almost all of their problems can be fixed if they actually sit and talk to each other. LOTS AND LOTS OF DRAMA THOUGH.

Now the things that I actually like about the show. The one thing that I absolutely love is that the show is focused on women being in business and not just random women talking about men all the time. Women empowerment, love, manipulation, betrayal, this show has it all. Although, it gives me a very Star Plus vibe by the way they keep mentioning ‘Carrington’ like nobody else even exists in this entire world but who doesn’t love a little bit of drama, right?

If you are someone who likes to keep in touch with reality and is not interested in rich white people problems, then this show is not for you. It can be a little too dramatic sometimes. But if you want something easy peasy you can watch while you eat or you’re SUPER bored or you want to forget about real world problems for a little while then you should go for it.

Also, I kind of can’t wait for season 2. Hehe! (Don’t judge me)
